Being Your Brand is a blog all about the good, the bad, and the “what were you thinking” in brand and communication strategy. Below is a a little bit about me, which is my basis for my interest in brand and communication strategy:
My name is Brianna and I am currently the Marketing Coordinator at Fpweb.net specializing in social media, SEO, email marketing, and blog strategy. Prior to my position at Fpweb.net, I was a brand strategist at a New Orleans based Marketing and Web Development company. As a brand strategist, I worked with brand planning and analytics to identify the most important audiences and best customers for the brand. I identified and broke-down the wants, needs and motivations of key audiences, as well as identified the most important benefits and messages for key audiences of the brand. I developed strategic plans and recommendations based on generating business and brand-building. My job also included overseeing and managing client relationships, interfacing with clients on matters of strategic direction, and presenting strategic work and recommendations to clients. I am Google Analytics Certified, as well as experienced in managing social media accounts for multiple clients, email marketing campaigns, and the implementation and management of SEO projects.
Prior to my position as a brand strategist, I was an account manager at Mudbug Media. As an account manager, I was responsible for maintaining successful relationships with clients, which included being the liaison between the client and both our programming and design teams. My responsibilities included making sure that project goals were met on time and within budget, while also ensuring that the client’s needs were satisfied. I managed twelve client accounts from varying industries, including a local retail store, non-profit community center, regional movie theatre chain, law firm, building management company, commercial real-estate company, environmental consulting firm, a leading global water treatment and process improvement company, and the Tulane School of Science and Engineering and the twelve departments within the school.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, I am a graduate of Tulane University with a BSM in management and marketing. While attending Tulane, I was the business manager of the award winning student run newspaper The Hullabaloo. I was also a project management intern at the Trumpet Group, a branding and marketing firm in New Orleans, where I worked with Partners for Healthy Babies, Tobacco Free Living, and the Coastal Conservation Association
