Being Your Brand is a blog all about the good, the bad, and the “what were you thinking” in brand and communication strategy. Below is a a little bit about me, which is my basis for my interest in brand and digital marketing strategy:
I am a Digital and Social Media Marketing Strategist specializing in creating and implementing inbound marketing strategies for small and large companies. I am currently the Director of Digital Marketing at TeraRecon, the global leader in advanced visualization and artificial intelligence for Medical Imaging. As the Director of Digital Marketing, I am responsible for the development and implementation of cross-departmental inbound marketing campaigns to nurture and grow TeraRecon’s global customer base.
My responsibilities as the Director of Digital Marketing currently include the developing and implementing the yearly marketing plan incorporating the product release and sales promotion schedules. In addition, I manage the production and publication of an average of 45 marketing resources per year to support our marketing campaigns, including blogs, videos, articles, eBooks, social media, email campaigns, webinars, podcast episodes, and sales support materials. I oversee the ongoing changes to the corporate website, video and documentation creation for new product launches, development of user experience strategies, and customer retention focused projects. In addition, my responsibilities include the tracking of marketing campaign results, reporting on website performance to the TeraRecon leadership team, and continuously optimizing our content marketing strategy.
I am also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Missouri St. Louis where I teach Intro to Marketing as part of the College of Business Undergraduate Program, as well as the Social Media Strategy course and Advanced Facebook Advertising course for the UMSL Digital Marketing Certificate program. I am a member of the Marketing Advisory Board for the UMSL College of Business and the Executive Director for the record-breaking Midwest Digital Marketing Conference produced by the UMSL College of Business
I hold a Masters in Business Administration and a Certificate in Digital Marketing from the University of Missouri St. Louis, and a Bachelors of Science with a double major of consumer behavior/marketing and management from Tulane University.
I began my career as a Brand Strategist at Mudbug Media, an interactive media agency in New Orleans, where I was responsible for the creation and implementation social media strategies for key clients, including independent medical practices, top-tier universities, regional hospitals, and Fortune 1000 global corporations. Prior to my current position at TeraRecon, I was the Digital Marketing Manager at Fpweb.net, a leading managed hosting provider, where I was in charge of their lead generation marketing efforts, including social media strategy, SEO, website strategy, PPC, email marketing, and event promotion.
